The Commission Process:

Please reach out to me via the contact form on my website. To help me understand your vision, feel free to answer the following questions:

Response & Quote
Based on the information you provide, we will schedule a call to dive deeper into your ideas. After our conversation, I will send you a price quote along with an estimated lead time for your painting.

Contract & Deposit
Once we agree to proceed, I will send over a simple contract for both of us to sign. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin work, with the balance due upon completion. If for any reason the painting is not to your liking, the deposit can be applied to any original artwork available on my site.

Mood Board & Color Palette
After receiving your signed contract and deposit, I’ll create a digital mood board and color palette tailored to your space. Once you approve the color palette, I’ll begin the painting process.

Creation of Your Painting
The painting will typically take 10-12 weeks to complete. In many cases, I’ll create a few sketches and preparatory materials to help me fully dive into the piece. This process gives you the chance to be more involved and ensures that we’re both aligned on the final result. It also allows you to envision the direction of the painting before the final work is completed.

Approval & Final Adjustments
When your painting is about 90% complete, I’ll send you photos for feedback. Whether you’d like to adjust a color, shape, or feel, I’m happy to make revisions until you’re completely satisfied. Once approved, I’ll varnish, sign, and add hanging hardware.

Framing & Delivery
Unless otherwise discussed, all commissions are painted on 1.5” gallery-wrapped canvas and framed in a simple raw maple strip frame. Your painting will then be carefully prepared for delivery.
