I titled this work in reference to a passage from the end of the Shema Israel. This passage urges us not to be misled by our eyes and our hearts.

Our existence, both globally and individually, is marked by trials and tragedies. The Shema Israel, the declaration of faith of the Jewish people, makes us proclaim that, although history surpasses us, it has meaning. Thus, every form of suffering and pain has its reason. Existence moves toward an ultimate purpose. While we do not yet know the reason, we have faith in it and in the absolute truth.

To maintain this faith, the Torah reminds us to never be influenced by our human perception of events, however dramatic they may be. These events are only the superficial layer of a divine truth, fundamentally good.

Details: This is a Pastel on paper . This piece is titled and signed on the front and will arrive wired and ready to hang.
